Instrument Cleaning Room Tech
Qualifications:
Preferred applicant should have previous experience in another sterile processing department.
Job Description:
Maintain infection control standards for health and safety of SSC patients, medical staff and personnel.
Supply sterile and clean supplies and equipment for use in care and treatment of patients. Sterilization -
pick up trays of soiled instruments in the soiled receiving area. Soiled receiving surgery carts - unload
push, distribute items to be cleaned or decontaminated.
Wash instruments and endoscopes, etc. Exchange clean items for dirty items. Unloading carts and reloading
carts. Cleaning all equipment beds, etc. Wrapping instruments for sterilization. Take care of sterilizers -
call for repairs.
To effectively fulfill this position, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
AAMl Central Sterile Certificaton or equivalent. (CBET, CRES, CLES)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an instrument tech level 1.
Achieve a score of 95% Instrument tech aptitude & competency exam.
Case Cart Assessment and demonstrates ability to perform relief for case cart tech.
